PANAJI: Shiv Sena, which has not been a solid political power in Goa, has now set its eyes on the up and coming state surveys with gathering boss Uddhav Thackeray planned to meet the functionaries one month from now.
"Shiv Sena boss Uddhav Thackeray would be in Goa in mid-October to manage our gathering functionaries. We have as of now started developing a base in all bodies electorate," head of Goa unit of Shiv Sena, Sudip Tamankar, told Media on Wednesday.
"The nearby pioneers are likewise wanting to sort out a uber open rally of Thackeray in November, which will offer force to gathering's effort in the state," he said.
The gathering repeated that it was prepared to produce a union with removed RSS Goa boss Subhash Velingkar on the off chance that he drifted a gathering before the state surveys.
Mr Tamankar said Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut, who was as of late in Goa, met Mr Velingkar and held chats with him.
"Exchanges are on. We are in agreement with the Bharatiya Bhasha Suraksha Manch (BBSM) and RSS Goa Prant drove by (Subhash) Velingkar. On the off chance that they coast a gathering, we will hold hands with them and have pre-survey cooperation in Goa," he said.
The state unit boss likewise said BBSM has been battling for local dialects, which in the long run will prompt assurance of privileges of 'bhoomi-putra' (children of the dirt).
BBSM has been vociferously restricting awards to English medium schools in the state and had driven disturbances against the Laxmikant Parsekar government, requesting that power be given to Marathi and Konkani dialects as the Medium of Instruction (MoI) in schools.
