New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party leader VP Dayashankar in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday went low and described Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati as ‘worse than a prostitute’. Talking to media, Singh said,” Mayawati has shattered the dreams of Kanshiram and the way she is distributing party tickets in exchange of money even prostitute don’t behave like that.
In morning if somebody offers her Rs 1 crore she will give him the ticket but if someone offers her Rs 3 crore in the evening she will cancel the name of the previous candidate and give it to him. Worst than the prostitutes who are more loyal to her customer.”
“Ek vaishya sey bhee battar charitra kee aaj Mayawatijee hogayee hain (Mayawati has become worse than a prostitute)”, said Singh. He also added that Mayawati had abandoned the path of Kanshi Ram. While reacting on Singh’s comment Mayawati said, “BJP is frustrated in Uttar Pradesh after seeing the rise of BSP”. BJP state chief Keshav Maurya, said, “I don’t know what he (Dayashankar) has said. If anything objectionable is found, party will take action on it”
The shocking comment has been made by the leader, in the backdrop of Uttar Pradesh assembly elections which is due early next year. BJP has been trying hard to lure dalit votes in the state which holds a large number of vote bank. The statement has triggered criticism from general public and politicians asking the leader to apologise.
Even leaders from Congress are urging Singh to apologise Mayawati for making derogatory remarks. Congress leader Sanjay Jha, “Political discourse touches a shocking nadir with this vicious abuse of Mayawati Ji ! @BJP4India, kindly apologize!”.
