Sensex up by 77 points, Nifty gains 9,958 points; Jaypee Infratech falls by 2%


On BSE, The Dalal Street noted Sensex at 31,739.06 up by 77 points or 0.24% while Nifty recorded at 9,958 gains 28 points or 0.28%.

Before opening the trading, the 31-scrip was noted less by 31,700-mark while 51-scrip reduced by 9,959-level.

On BSE , The top achievers of Sensex were Larsen & Toubro dealing at Rs 1,142.15 high by 1.39%, Lupin recorded at Rs 985.20 (0.78%), Adani Ports Rs 390.75 (0.72%), Tata Steel n Rs 659.05 (0.69%) with Coal India at Rs 254.60 (0.63%).

On the other hand, the list of losers included Dr Reddy’s Laboratories (Rs 2,216), Axis Bank (Rs 495), Asian Paints (Rs 1,195.35),  Hindustan Unilever (Rs 1,208) dealing negative in the array of 0.08% – 0.40%.

Jaypee Infratech share price falls by above 2% following when IDBI Bank directed the Supreme Court to leave its stay order on September 07 on NCLT’s bankruptcy actions not in favor of the organization.

In the early trade, Jaypee was dealing at Rs 16.95 drop by 1.74% on BSE.

As per analyst, “Sectors like financials, metals and auto continueto look positive. Infrastructure, defense spaceremains interesting. Cement as a space could alsocontinue to see investment interest as it will bekey beneficiary.”
