To Save Woman Colleague, IAS Officer Jumped Into Delhi Pool


An Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer suffocated in the swimming pool of a civil services training foundation in south Delhi the previous evening, supposedly after he hopped into save a lady partner. The police are researching the passing, which occurred amid a poolside party.

Ashish Dahiya, 30, was with his companions from the civil services last night at the training foundation in Ber Sarai. Sooner or later, they supposedly chosen to go for a swim in the pool. The police presume they had been drinking.

Witnesses say a lady officer slipped and fell into the pool and many, including Mr Dahiya, bounced in to rescue her.

She was hauled out securely yet the officers understood that Mr Dahiya was missing. Before long, he was seen drifting.

He was hauled out and a medical officer was called. There were endeavors at resuscitating him with CPR before he was taken to hospital, where he was announced dead around 1 am.

Mr Dahiya’s family lives in Haryana’s Sonepat.

A team of senior cops went by the club to gather confirmation and record statements.
