The last occurrence of the flood of the Sardar Sarovar Dam, one of the biggest dam of the Narmada Valley Project was seen in 2014. This is the principal episode of the flooding of the dam subsequent to the establishment of doors by Narendra Modi government.

Considered the life line of Gujarat, the Sardar Sarovar Dam inundates more than 18,000 km sq, a large portion of it zones of Kutch and Saurashtra.
