Sanjay Leela Bhansali directed film Padmavati has been facing controversy since its shooting. Rajput group Karni Sena believes that the movie is a misrepresentation of history. The people did protest in Rajasthan as well as UP to stop the release of movie.
After this, the CBFC (Central Board of Certification), firstly refused to give certificate to the movie, and said a new law: Filmmakers must present the movie 68 days ahead of screening.
Following a gritty stillness, there might be good conclusion to the film. Film Padmavati is likely to receive a certificate from the CBFC on Tuesday and the producers may take verdict when to release the movie.
As per the sources, “There’s been no official indication from the producers yet.”
Other source affirmed, “Once the certificate releases, the producers will take decision when they wish to showcase Padmavati. Till now, they’re seem at January 5 and January 12.”
Film ‘Padmavati’ features Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor, Ranveer Singh in the lead roles.
It showcases the journey of Rani Padmini (essayed by Deepika in the movie) and Alauddin Khilji (essayed by Ranveer).
