Sanjay Leela Bhansali long awaited film ‘Padmavat’ has finally released in the cinema halls today after witnessing lot of controversies since its making. It has been released all over the country except Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Goa. The film features Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor, Ranvir Singh in the prominent roles.

This 165-minute film is packed with meaningful dialogues. In the film, Shahid Kapoor played the role of Maharajal Ratan Singh, Deepika (Maharani Padmavati) and Ranvir Singh (Alauddin Khilji). The film begins with many ‘disclaimers’ in which it has been showcased that there is no relation to its history and it is based on the composition of 16th century poet Malik Muhammad Jayasi, ‘Padmavat’. Another disclaimer states that it does not intend to hurt anyone’s feelings.

In fact, this film talks about the honor of Rajputs. On one point, Padmavati is compared to Savitri, who protects her husband from Yamraj.

Talking about the film direction, Sanjay Leela Bhansali once again proved that how grandeur is shown in films. Bhansali’s hard work has been highlighted in the film. The dialogue delivery of actors is splendid. This movie is full of chivalry and bravery of Queen Rani Padmavati.

Earlier, the film was scheduled to hit the theatres on December 1 but its release was postponed after the censor certificate was not received. The censor board had asked to make five improvements in the film, which included the name change from ‘Padmavati’ to ‘Padmavat’.
