Performer Nawazuddin Siddiqui recently said that biopics in Bollywood are corrupted by commercial elements and that a person’s story should rather be shown as it seems to be. Indian captain M.S. Dhoni’s biopic was also named as a “hagiography” which increased the debate that only the good and positive parts of a person’s character are depicted in films based on their journey.
Presently, with the much-awaited Sanjay Dutt biopic coming up, individuals began speculating that negative aspects like his drug addiction may not simply be tweaked but may be totally excluded in the film. However, according to recent reports, Ranbir is presently gone to shoot the next schedule of the biopic in New York, in which he as Dutt will be shown fighting his severe drug addiction. It might be recalled that Sunil Dutt had sent his child to the US to clean up too. So it appears like even the dim aspects of Dutt’s trip will make their way to the silver screen.
Written and directed by Rajkumar Hirani and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Sanjay Dutt’ biopic will hit the theatres on 30th March 2018.
