Sania Mirza reaches to women’s and mixed doubles 3rd round of Wimbledon 2017


Tennis Champion Sania Mirza enters the third round of women’s and mixed doubles matches against the Japanese pair Yusuke Watanuki and Makoto Ninomiya by 7-6 (5), 6-2 at the Wimbledon matches on Sunday. On the other hand, Rohan Bopanna and Purav Raja also clinched their respective mixed doubles games.

The Indo-Croatian pair completed its second round match with six aces and four double faults.

In the quarterfinals round, they will face off Henri Kontinen and Heather Watson.

Mirza and Flipkens clinched 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 won in one hour and 45 minutes.

In the first round of mixed doubles game, Japan’s Eri Hozumi, Raja clinched the game against American-Czech duo James Cerretani and Renata Voracava 5-7, 6-4, 6-2.

Now, the pair will play against 11th seeds Daniel Nestor and Andreja Klepac.
