Rupee up 3 paise to 66.98 against US Dollar


Mumbai: On Wednesday Indian Rupee gains by 3 paise to 66.98 next to the US Dollar in early trade at the Interbank Foreign Exchange on fresh selling of the US currency by banks and exporters.

Forex dealers have also further conveyed that a superior commencing in domestic equity market and a weak dollar next to yen and other currencies abroad supported the rupee.

The Indian rupee had decreased by 5 paise to conclude at 67.01 against the American currency in yesterday’s buy and sell amid uncertainty over the Fed rate-hike action scheduled for afterward in the day.

For now, the benchmark BSE Sensex recovered 44.02 points or 0.15 per cent to 28,567.22 in near the beginning trade.
