Rupee trades higher 19 paise at 66.34 against Dollar


MUMBAI: On Wednesday the Indian rupee jumps higher further by 19 paise to deal at over 4-month high of 66.34 against the US dollar in early trade at the forex market on augmented selling of the American currency by banks and exporters.

Forex dealers has also further conveyed that, besides, strong foreign fund inflows, decrease of the dollar next to other currencies abroad after data demonstrated activity in the US service sector slowed sharply previous month, and a superior commencing in the domestic equity market boosted the rupee value alongside the dollar.

 The rupee had soared by a whopping 30 paise to finish at near four-month elevated of 66.52 in Tuesday's buy and sell on sliding dollar value following weaker-than-expected US jobs data eased fears of an imminent rate hike by the Federal Reserve. For now, the benchmark BSE sensex rallied by 89.82 points or 0.30 per cent to 29,067.84 in early buys and sells.
