Mumbai: The Indian rupee on Monday opened higher 8 paise to Rs 63.94 against US Dollar on account of selling of American currency by exporters.
On Friday the currency settled downward 12 paise to Rs 64.02 against US Dollar. For now domestic equity markets commenced flat after mixed global cues.
The BSE Sensex commenced 39.97 points, grew at 31932.20, whereas NSE Nifty index commenced increased at 9,984.15.
On Friday Foreign portfolio investors placed net buyers in equity markets and acquired shares of Rs 443.91 crore with gross purchases and gross sales of Rs 8,453.97 crore and Rs 8,010.06 crore, correspondingly.
Previous week, administration bonds grew, with the benchmark yield positioned reduced seven weeks.
The Global benchmark 6.79% 2027 bond yield reduced to 6.48 per cent on Friday from 6.53 per cent in preceding session.
