Rupee opens higher 7 paise at 67.12 against US Dollar


MUMBAI: On Tuesday after its three-day descending trend, the Indian Rupee improved by 7 paise to 67.12 next to the US dollar at the forex market in early buy and sell on fresh selling of the American currency by exporters.

Dealers has also further conveyed that, besides, the dollar's failing next to some currencies overseas hold up the rupee but early losses in the domestic equity market restricted gains.

 On Monday’s trade the rupee had misplaced 14 paise to close at one-month low of 67.19 next to the US currency on augmented dollar demand from importers and banks amid weak equity markets.

On Tuesday for now, the benchmark BSE Sensex was buying and selling inferior by 45.55 points or 0.16 per cent at 27,939.99 in early trade.
