Mumbai: The Indian rupee on Friday opened higher 16 paise to Rs 65.34 against the US Dollar in the early trade for the second straight session. On Thursday rupee settle 22 paise higher at Rs 65.50 each Dollar.
Foreign portfolio investors on Thursday continued to be net sellers in equity markets. FPI sold stocks of Rs 848.95 crore with gross purchases and gross sales at Rs 5,719.92 crore and Rs 6,238.16 crore, correspondingly.
For now the local equity markets commenced in green after global cues and the BSE Sensex grew over 100 points at 31390, whereas NSE Nifty index grew 45 points at 9,814.
The Global benchmark 6.79% 2027 bond yield reduced to 6.64 per cent from 6.67 per cent in the preceding trade.
