Rourkela : MLA Dilip Ray to boycott BJP Vikash Utsav

Bhubaneswar: Rourkela BJP MLA Dilip Ray is not going to attend the Vikash Utsav to be held by the party at Rourkela on June 6.The Union Minister of Mines Narendra Singh Tomar is going to address the event, a part of a series of meetings to point out achievements of the party on the completion of two years of the NDA Government.

According to sources, Ray is boycotting the event miffed with Tomar’s attitude over the upgradation of Ispat General Hospital (IGH) into Super Speciality Hospital and Medical College (SSHMC). Notably, on April 1, 2015, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced the upgradation of IGH which is run by the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) for the employees of Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) and people in and around Rourkela.

But till date the ministry has not taken any action on the issue, alleged Ray, which is an insult to the Prime Minister.
