Roger Federer defeats Alexander Zverev to Reach Last Four at ATP Finals


Tennis Champion Roger Federer beat Alexander Zverev on Tuesday to enter the last four of the ATP Finals.

The world number two dominated the opponent player during the game to become the first man to reach to the last four at the O2 Arena. Federer clinched 7-6 (8/6), 5-7, 6-1 against Alexander Zverev.

“It was a good fight and I always take pleasure at this beautiful stadium,” stated Federer.

“I have so much fun playing in London and I have been so successful here. Thank you for making it such a special night.” He added.

During the beginning of game, the duo were rough on serve but later observed no breaks of serve.

Roger Federer broke in the initial game of the second set to set up an iron grip against Zverev.

In the second set, Federer only clinched 43 percent of first serves and it lastly price him in the 12th game.

Roger Federer and Zverev had played four games together and triumph twice in the game. This year, Federer defeated German in Halle during the Rogers Cup tournament in Montreal.

“It’s been an interesting morning so far,” Roger Federer said. “The fire alarm went off at 4:00 am and we had to exit the building. But I love playing here in London. It’s an amazing atmosphere, you make me feel like home.” It added.
