The Matunga police on Tuesday captured six people, including a cab driver, for professedly endeavoring to confer Rs8 crore dacoity. The police have seized two choppers, three little gas chambers and their controllers, a screwdriver, two gloves, a cello tape and a blue-shaded plastic sack from the group.
Those captured have been recognized as Santosh Hayal (21), Nepal Manna (34), Sumit Yadav (34), Rajan Das (23), Pradeep Natme (24) and Pratapsingh Manchanda (58)."Around 3.45am on Tuesday, while our group was watching close Maheshwari Udyan, they saw a couple of suspicious people sitting in a vehicle. At the point when our officers drew nearer them to make request, the suspects attempted to escape from the spot. While six of them were gotten, three figured out how to get away," said agent magistrate of police (zone-IV) N Ambika.

Those captured have been reserved under areas 399 (making readiness to confer dacoity), 400 (discipline for having a place with posse of dacoits) and 402 (collecting for motivation behind submitting dacoity) of the Indian Penal Code. The blamed people were created under the watchful eye of a nearby court and were remanded in police guardianship till August 20.
