As Riteish Deshmukh is gearing up for two television shows he has recently decided to stay away from cinemas till next year. When the actor was asked about his present rugged look with long hair and a stubble at a promotional event of his upcoming film “Banjo” the actor revealed about his decision of staying away from the silver screen. The actor mocked saying “This look is due to unemployement.”
Clearing the air, he added, "Actually I am doing two television shows and will start doing movies from January so till that time, I am going to grow my beard."
However, the actor later disclosed that the look was demanded by his new character in his upcoming movie “Banjo” and the look even led to a delay of 5 months in the initial shooting schedule. The actor stated "There are long stories associated with the look. Actually I was shooting for 'Housefull 3' when I got Banjo's script and we were supposed to start its filming simultaneously. But both Krishika and Ravi the producer and the director said they want long hair, so we pushed the film by five months and then I started growing my hair and my stubble."
The actor further added that he liked the fact that he was looking very different from the way he used to look from last so many years. The actor later thanked both the director and producer for believing that he could pull off something like his new look.
