Rio Olympics 2016: PV Sindhu beats Nozomi Okuhara enters into final, assures a medal for India


New Delhi: PV Sindhu has created history at the Rio Olympics 2016 by assuring herself a silver medal. This makes her the first Indian woman to achieve this feat.

In her debut Olympics contention, Sindhu has beaten the odds to reach the semi final of the Women’s Singles Badminton championship at the Rio Olympics 2016.

She has entered the finals by defeating Japan's Nozomi Okuhara. 21-19, 21-10. It was a straight set victory.
