Bombayla Devi, 31, was the only bright spot in India's Rio Olympics campaign on Wednesday. Shooters Jitu Rai and Prakash Nanjappa disappointed in the 50m pistol event. This was Jitu's favourite event. There was more bad news for India when judoka Avtar Singh lost his 90 kg Round 1 bout against Popole Misenga of the Refugee Olympic Team.

India's archery queen Deepika Kumari will be in action later in the day. She will be up against Georgia's Kristine Esebua in the 1/32 elimination round.
