Rig Veda: Importance of “Solar Activity” by Professor M K Dave


Rig Veda found a place is the UNESCO’s memory of world register, a collection of documentary heritage in the year 2007, and the year 2009 marks the 400th anniversary of the use of telescope by Galileo for confirming the Copernicus’ Helio-centric model of the solar system. The year 2009 was the world year of astronomy.



Rig Veda dates back to 35,000 to 25,000, i.e. 30,000 years ago  in the Man Krita (formative) Yuga {Matsya Purāna 144.79} and according to the research oriented book “What Awaits Man in 2,000 A.D. and thereafter”- M. K. Dave, Ajanta Publication, New Delhi, 1998}. It is necessary to understand the “Intelligent Design” of God.

Rig Veda is a sacred scientific document that emerged as a joint venture of the ancient united world on Unified Creation based on the “Intelligent Design” of Parameshwar encased in Sanskrit Computer cum computational methodology /   [Chhandās]. It matches modern computer System and it interfaces with modern astronomy.

It is a treatise on the unification of all that is in the universe and includes a unified overview of relationships involved in the art of living. “Intelligent Design” ensures a smooth transition from science to Dharma.  The blue prints of unified creations reveal the importance of the conservation of the wild life and deep involvement of living creatures in Unified Creations that seem to match nicely with the photographs in space of their counter parts in space as revealed by NASA.

Dharma is supportive of the entire scientific enterprises. The human mind has the capacity to comprehend the structure of the entire universe that prevails as a finite, coherent and ordered totality and is subject to scientific scrutiny. But the gains of sciences make the man materialistic, self-centred and morally degraded.

Dharma signifies a moral order in human affairs, the code of conduct of the individual group, the rules of social behaviour that advocates justice, virtue, morality righteousness, law and duty – all dwelling in the norms acceptable to humanity as an ideal theory – the truth eternal.

Dharma, therefore, is an all embracing code of wisdom which influences human conduct including all the visual aids inherent in the mental concept of Dharmic Karmās, like  Yagna, pooja individual, the funeral rites and so on. It leads to the spiritual aspects of individual responsibilities and duties to the self, other beings and nature.  In worldly affairs, dharma has four cardinal points called ‘Purushārtha’. They are Artha (monetary matters in the field of economics), the enjoyment of fruits of one’s labour including Kāma (physical love), Dharma (religious ceremonies) and Moksha (liberation from the cycle of rebirth) through spiritual knowledge as part of Yoga. Yoga leads to self-realization and then to God (Brahma) realization by transcendental meditation.

Hindu Dharma is a way of life derived from the Sanātana Dharma. Hence Dharma and culture are so indistinguishably intertwined that it is not possible to separate them into two. Their strength lies in its adaptability even after onslaughts from within and without. The secret of its longevity in an unshakable foundation of philosophy, thought, Dharma and culture – all rooted in the parity between ethics of humanistic life in terms of characteristic three-fold modes (Satva, Rājas, Tāmas) of nature.

The entire universe is dualistic in character. The scientists cum seers tried to realize the Supreme Parameshwar in His oneness by unifying Jivātmā [soul of the living] with Ātmā [soul of the non-living] residing in the body of the single black-hole / Prithivi / Pind before and after creation.

Astronomy tries to unify the four fundamental forces of Nature in the physical Grand Unified Field (GUF) symbolized by Om. The Vedic system involves the three Gunās / qualities [Sat, Raj, Tama] and the Brahma. Thus the unification in Rig Veda involves three factor coupled with the physical GUF with the wisdom, intelligence and consciousness of Brahma [in human form].

The following Sukta on Rta ensures that the Creation will be exactly the same because of SOMA {Cosmic Microwave Background Radiations}- the relics / debris of the past Creation:

1) “Rita and truth were created from Tapa / heat full of Tej / light / brilliance. Then day and night came into being. Thereafter, there appeared the ocean full of Jal / waters / plasma.

2) “From the ocean full of Jal / waters / plasma, Samvatsara / year was born. Ishwar created day and night. Ishwar is the Lord of universe associated with time measurable as Nimesh, etc.

3) “Since ancient times, Ishwar created exactly as it was before [“Yathā Poorvam Akalpayat”}, Surya / Sun, Chandra / Moon, Swarga Loka / heaven, Prathivi Loka / Earth and Antariksh / space – (Rishi Achmarshano Mādhuchchhandasah).

Astronomers assume that present universe emerged from the black hole about the size of the solar system at Creation in accordance with Loop Quantum Cosmology being developed by involving super computers. This is reflected in the mantra “Yathā Poorvam Akalpayat” [R.V.10.190.3] i.e. the universe is created exactly as before, and in this recycled universe the present can reveal the past and future of Nature

Sound as Soma / C.M.B.R. originated from X-ray ripples from Agni  / Surya / sun within the black hole cum white hole according to Loop Quantum Cosmology within the Event Horizon according to Mark Whittle and Soma ensures the creation to be exactly the same as before “Yathā Poorvam Akalpayat” .

Excursions through the maze of Vedās, Purānās and epics of world renown lead us to believe that there existed a one world Dharmic order in earlier days of the humans. This then becomes the springboard of the various religions on the same foundations of science.

God created the universe by a self-referral system as in mathematics and self –replicating quark-gluon plasma together with the self-replicating genes (DNA) according to the three-in-one Varna Meru for unified creation of the non-living and the living-beings.

Varna Meru is the Universal King–pin of Knowledge of arts and sciences.

Topic – 7: “Solar Activity”


On the surface of the Sun, we reach the photosphere. This region of the Sun is opaque (or optically dark) to light. It is this region where the light from the Sun is emitted through the interaction of electrons and Hydrogen atoms.

Atmosphere: The solar atmosphere is comprised of several sub layers: the temperature minimum, the chromosphere, the transition region, the corona, and the heliosphere. The temperature increases from the temperature minimum layer (4700K) towards the solar corona (upwards of 20,000,000K).

The Inner Core of the Sun is the main engine of this star. Here, gravity and heat provide the necessary energy to drive the nuclear fusion processes that power the sun. In the core, the fusion processes called the Proton-Proton Cycle and the Carbon-Nitrogen-Oxygen Cycle take place. Almost all the heat from the sun is created in the inner core. Moving from a distance of approximately 200,000 Km (125,000 mi) lies the Convective Zone of the Sun. This zone is not dense enough to use radiative transfer of energy, instead, it uses thermal convection zones, in other words, it boils. Energy is carried through thermal columns to the surface of the sun and creates areas that we see as solar granulation and super granulation. At the surface, the temperature drops to about 570 0 degrees Kelvin (9800 degrees F)* and has a density of approximately 0.2g/m3. These regions also cause the small magnetic fields over the surface of the sun due to the differential convection of the columns.

Just outside the Inner Core of the sun at a distance approximately 0.25 to 0.7 solar radii lies the Radiative Zone. This zone radiates energy through the process of photon emission and capture by the hydrogen and helium ions.                                              

[The Convection Zone rotates as a normal fluid with "differential rotation". That is, the plasma at the poles rotates slowly (33.5 days) with the convection current speeds constantly increasing until they reach the plasma equator which rotates much faster (25.6 days). In the Convection layer, from its surface down 30% of the solar radius, the Convection plasma is not dense or hot enough to transfer the heat energy of the interior outward through radiation. As a result, thermal convection occurs as thermal columns carry hot material to the Photosphere surface of the sun. Once the material cools off at the surface, it plunges downward to the base of the Convective Zone, to absorb more heat from the top of the Radiative Zone and then repeats the cycle. These thermal columns in the Convection Zone form an imprint on the surface of the sun and are called Solar Granules. In addition there are "rivers" of plasma flowing from the poles to the equator deep in the Convection Zone then up to the surface and back to the poles

The channel for Soma is never crossed because Soma (C.B.R.) (figure above) ensures that the creation is exactly the same as before “Yathā Poorvam Akalpayat” [R.V. 10.190. 3] In worshipping one has to take only half circumabulation and return the same way back.

The Sun was formed about 4.57 billion years ago from the collapse of part of a giant molecular cloud that consisted mostly of hydrogen and helium and which probably gave birth to many other stars.[99] This age is estimated using computer models of stellar evolution and through nucleocosmochronology.[9] The result is consistent with the radiometric date of the oldest Solar System material, at 4.567 billion years ago.[100][101]Studies of ancient meteorites reveal traces of stable daughter nuclei of short-lived isotopes, such as iron-60, that form only in exploding, short-lived stars. This indicates that one or more supernovae must have occurred near the location where the Sun formed. A shock wave from a nearby supernova would have triggered the formation of the Sun by compressing the gases within the molecular cloud, and causing certain regions to collapse under their own gravity.[102] As one fragment of the cloud collapsed it also began to rotate due to conservation of angular momentum and heat up with the increasing pressure. Much of the mass became concentrated in the center, while the rest flattened out into a disk which would become the planets and other solar system bodies. Gravity and pressure within the core of the cloud generated a lot of heat as it accreted more gas from the surrounding disk, eventually triggering nuclear fusion. Thus, our Sun was born.

The Sun is about halfway through its main-sequence stage, during which nuclear fusion reactions in its core fuse hydrogen into helium. Each second, more than four million tonnes of matter are converted into energy within the Sun's core, producing neutrinos and solar radiation. At this rate, the Sun has so far converted around 100 Earth-masses of matter into energy. The Sun will spend a total of approximately 10 billion years as a main-sequence star.[103]

The Sun does not have enough mass to explode as a supernova. Instead, in about 5 billion years, it will enter a red giant phase. Its outer layers will expand as the hydrogen fuel at the core is consumed and the core will contract and heat up. Hydrogen fusion will continue along a shell surrounding a helium core, which will steadily expand as more helium is produced. Once the core temperature reaches around 100 million kelvin, helium fusion at the core will begin producing carbon, and the Sun will enter the asymptotic giant branch phase.[38] Following the red giant phase, intense thermal pulsations will cause the Sun to throw off its outer layers, forming aplanetary nebula. The only object that will remain after the outer layers are ejected is the extremely hot stellar core, which will slowly cool and fade as a white dwarf over many billions of years. This stellar evolution scenario is typical of low- to medium-mass stars.[104][105]

Earth's fate

Earth's ultimate fate is precarious. As a red giant, the Sun will have a maximum radius beyond the Earth's current orbit, 1 AU (1.5×1011m), 250 times the present radius of the Sun.[106] However, by the time it is an asymptotic giant branch star, the Sun will have lost roughly 30% of its present mass due to a stellar wind, so the orbits of the planets will move outward. If it were only for this, Earth would probably be spared, but new research suggests that Earth will be swallowed by the Sun owing to tidal interactions.[106] Even if Earth should escape incineration in the Sun, still all its water will be boiled away and most of its atmosphere will escape into space. Even during its current life in the main sequence, the Sun is gradually becoming more luminous (about 10% every 1 billion years), and its surface temperature is slowly rising. The Sun used to be fainter in the past, which is possibly the reason life on Earth has only existed for about 1 billion years on land. The increase in solar temperatures is such that in about another billion years the surface of the Earth will likely become too hot for liquid water to exist, ending all terrestrial life.[106][107]
