Delhi: Six suffocated while sleeping near tandoor
At Least Six workers lost their lives because of suffocation while sleeping close to blazing tandoor in a congested truck at Mall Road in Delhi Cantonment on Tuesday, cops stated.
As per the cops, the dead has been found as Amit, Pankaj, Anil, Kamal, Awadh Lal, Deep Chand. The deceased were workers at a private catering organization.
As per Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southwest) Shibesh Singh, the cops got a call at 1.38 p.m. from private catering company supervisor, Nirmal Singh, who informed about the incident.
“When the cops rushed to the spot, they recovered six men lying within the vehicle. The wounded were taken to the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital for treatment but the doctors declared four of them dead,” said the cops.
The cops stated the victims used to assist in catering at parties and had rushed to Mall Road on Monday night to arrange function yesterday. “They had rushed to the venue following completion of a function on Monday and had taken tandoor along with them. It seems like tandoor was still flaming when they took decision to nap close to it,” senior cop officer stated.
The cops have lodged a complaint under Section 304A of the Indian Penal Code.
Indonesia continues shut down of Bali airport over volcanic ash

Anushka Sharma to work in Shree Narayan Singh’s film Jasmine?
Mumbai: Director Shree Narayan Singh is all set to come up with new film after the success of film Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. The movie featured Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead roles.
Now, the filmmaker will make women based movie ‘Jasmine – story of a leased womb’.
The rumors are doing round that the upcoming movie will feature Anushka Sharma in the pivotal roles. The director believes that Anushka is a great actor and can play the role perfectly.
The director stated, “Jasmine is based on the life of a girl from her adolescence to motherhood, of everlasting affection between a mother and a child. I have forever wished to work on a woman based movie.”
