AAP government postponed odd-even car rationing scheme
New Delhi: The Delhi government announced the odd-even car rationing scheme on Saturday that was believed to begin from Monday, Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot stated.
Following the National Green Tribunal (NGT) demanded the government to not issue any freedom, involving to two-wheeler users and women, the Cabinet conducted a meeting at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s home.
Mr. Gahlot stated although AAP government “valued” the NGT’s verdict involving two-wheelers and women for the odd-even made it tricky to execute the programme. He added that the stage of PM2.5 and PM10 had declined now.
Arvind Kejriwal’s government on Friday stated that it was in discussions with state-owned helicopter service company Pawan Hans to sprinkle water in Delhi to resolve impurity in the air.
On Twitter, Delhi Environment Minister Imran Hussain shared, “Delhi govt is in talks with Pawan Hans for aerial sprinkling of water over the city to bring down particulate matter @ArvindKejriwal @msisodia.”
On Thursday, National Green Tribunal’s insisted the government to find all the polluted areas with the help of helicopter and spread water in the national capital to deal with the contamination.
Pawan Hans Company inquired the Delhi administration for a meeting in a letter to talk about the issue concerning the chances of implementing the exercise that may necessitate an inclusive possibility and consents from several authorities.
The company shared, “It has the capacity to carry out such assignment and has carried out similar exercises in the past for washing of insulators of high tension lines and agriculture spraying.”
On Friday, doubt happened over the execution of the odd-even car rationing plan as the NGT interrogated the basis following Delhi government’s verdict to execute it out for about five days coming week.
The NGT interrogated the foundation for the AAP government’s judgment stating that the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) and Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) have recovered that the stages of PM10 and PM2.5 were cumulatively upper when the plan was executed twice prior.
The current level of PM2.5 in Delhi is at around 433 microgrammes per cubic metre whereas PM10 is hovering at around 617, according to CPCB data.
US, South Korea begins four-day naval drills in caution to North Korea
The United States and South Korea have begun joint naval drills that will include three US aircraft carriers. The armed officials stated it as a clear caution to North Korea.
On Friday, the four-day drills were held in waters in South Korea’s eastern coast following President Donald Trump visit to Asia that was conquered by talks over the North Korean nuclear threat.
South Korea’s armed affirms that the scuffle groups of the USS Ronald Reagan, the Theodore Roosevelt and the Nimitz will consecutively come into the exercise area at the time of drills that operates until Tuesday.
The three carriers will be probable together in the drills around Monday.
Ever Since 2007, it’s the foremost time that three US carrier strike groups are running together in the Western Pacific.
As per the reports, the drills will also include 11 U.S. Aegis ships, 7 South Korean naval vessels, involving two Aegis vessels.
“They will aim to enhance combined operation and aerial strike capabilities and also display “strong will and firm military readiness to defeat any provocation by North Korea with dominant force in the event of crisis,” Seoul’s military asserted.

Ranji Trophy: Cheteshwar Pujara falls short of Double century against Gujarat
Indian player Cheteshwar Pujara presented his splendid performance before the Test series against Sri Lanka in the Ranji Trophy match on Friday.
