Army Major, 3 soldiers died in gunfire by Pakistan along LoC in Kashmir
Pakistani troops attacked army major and three Army jawans along the Line of Control in the Keri sector of Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday.
“Major Moharkar Prafulla Ambadas, Lance Naik Gurmail Singh and Sepoy Pargat Singh were wounded during the encounter and faced injuries. Two other army staff got wounded and are currently facing medical treatment,” an army spokesperson stated.
The attack took place when Pakistani army embattled the Army patrol at Brat Galla in Keri sector. Nearly three soldiers were wounded lethally,” he stated.
As per source, two army personals have been going through medical treatment, the spokesman said.
Army general Ambadas was a native of Bhandara district in Maharashtra whereas Lance Naik Gurmail Singh was from Amritsar district in Punjab. Major Pargat Singh was from Karnal district in Haryana.
Army patrols along the LoC have been directed to take strict step to refuse getting trapped in ambushes or Border Action Team (BAT) proceedings by the Pakistani Special Forces.
120 dead, 160 missing in southern Philippines hurricane
MANILA: Over 100 people and dozens are mislaid in a hurricane in the southern Philippines that led to mudslides and floods on Saturday, police and disaster officials affirmed.
It added several natives had unnoticed caution to abscond coastal areas and riverbanks.
“Several people were evacuated from the as hurricane water quickly increased because of high tide,” Manuel Luis Ochotorena, a disaster agency official affirmed.
As per the reports, a complete village was submerged by mudslide in Tubod town in Lanao del Norte.
After the landslides, power and communication lines were disrupted. The weather department stated the hurricane had collected potency over the Sulu Sea.
Over 100 died in areas including Tubod, El Salvador, Munai towns in Lanao del Norte province.
Cops stated 42 people lost their lives in the towns of Sibuco and Salug in Zamboanga del Norte province.
Nearly three people were died in Bukidnon province whereas politicians in Lanao del Sur province stated 18 people had inundated in flash floods.
Sixty-four people mislaid in floods and landslides on Saturday.

From December 24 to December 30, Salman Khan will be shooting at the Film City. The movie showcases Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Jacqueline Fernandez, Daisy Shah, Saqib Salem and Freddy Daruwala in the prominent roles.
The two parts of movie were directed by filmmaker duo Abbas-Mustan. The film will be made under Salman Khan Films and Tips Films banner. ‘Race 3’ is slated to release on Eid next year.
Kedar Jadhav, Shardul Thakur selected in ODI squad for South Africa tour
Mumbai: Indian Bowlers Kedar Jadhav and Shardul Thakur have been selected for One Day International matches against South Africa. The committee has also chosen Mohammad Shami in the 17-member team to improve the bowler department. Following the Test series, commencing on January 5, India will take part in 6 ODIs starting from February 1 and 3 Twenty20 Internationals.

Google Doodle celebrates 93rd birthday of “King of playback singing” Mohammad Rafi
NEW DELHI: Google India has made special doodle on the 93 rd birth anniversary of popular singer Mohammed Rafi on Sunday.
Doodle that has been created today represents the life of popular singer Mohammad Rafi. It showed how he steps forward from the studio and entered into the Bollywood industry. The doodle is being made Mumbai-based illustrator Sajid Shaikh to pay tribute to Rafi.
On Twitter, Google India portrayed the renowned singer Mohammad Rafi who has sung and composed almost 5,000 songs.
Mohammad Rafi is popular as “king of playback singing” in Bollywood. He had composed romance, classical music, rock and roll music throughout his journey.
In 1967, Rafi secured Padma Shri award by the Indian government. For popular track ‘Kya Hua Tera Wada, he was honored with National Award in year 1977.
The list of his popular tracks includes ‘Chaudhvin Ka Chand Ho’, ‘Dil Ke Jharoke Mein’, ‘Baharo Phool Barsao’.
