Kerala court issues death sentence to labourer in Dalit woman rape case
A Dalit woman, Jisha was violently raped and assaulted by using sharp-edged weapons before being murdered at her house which left at least 30 injuries, including in her private parts. She was brutally raped by migrant worker from Assam; this heinous crime leads to protests in a state. It was one of the rarest cases at the time of verdict Ameer Ul Islam didn’t show any repentance for the brutal crime he did to a law student.
He was announced to be guilty under Indian penal code section 376 (A) on 12th December, 17 Tuesday. The Assam labourer has been sentenced to death on Wednesday and also rigorous imprisonment for 10 years and 7 years respectively and Rs 5 lakh fine in other charges against him.
The mother of the victim was happy with the verdict she even said “no other girl/lady should undergo such disturbing fate and situation.
Such disturbing cases have alarmed other cities’ government as well after Madhya Pradesh assembly unanimously passed a bill that will see rapists of girls 12 years or below being hanged till death. After, Madhya Pradesh Rajasthan government is also willing to pass similar bill like Madhya Pradesh, rajasthan government is currently studying MP’s model.
Two Reuters journalists detained in Myanmar
At Least two Reuter journalists and two security officers have been detained in Myanmar for the coverage of current going Rohingya issues.
The journalists are found as Thet Oo Maung Maung and Kyaw Soe Oo. On Tuesday, the cops arrested them on the border of Yangon.
The case has been filed against them under colonial-era Official Secrets Act of 1923 for getting essential credentials related with security forces in the Rakhine State.
The cops have been charged Police Lt. Moe Yan Naing and Police Sergeant Khin Maung Lin for their involvement in the case.
The United Nations and the international community have been blaming Myanmar of human rights violations allegedly carried out by the Myanmar’s security forces against Rohingya Muslims in Rakhine.
The U.S. Embassy in Yangon stated, “It is intensely related by the highly irregular detains of two Reuters reporters following they were asked to convene with cops in Yangon on Wednesday.”
“For a democratic system to do well, journalists require to be able to do their jobs liberally,” it added. “We advise the government to give details about these captures and permit immediate access to the journalists.”

Currently, the actor is busy in film Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati that has come into controversy because of protest by Karni Sena. Apart from it, he will also be seen in upcoming film ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ directed by Shree Narayan Singh. The actor will play lead role in film ‘Kabaddi’ that will be directed by Mehra.
The reports are doing round that Hrithik Roshan will not be part of film. The filmmakers have chosen Shahid Kapoor in his place for the upcoming flick. On the other hand, Hrithik Roshan will be essaying character of Anand Kumar in film ‘Super 30,’ directed by Vikas Bahl.
As per the speculations, Shahid Kapoor was seen in front of director Mehra’s office in the recent times.
Mehra is currently working on ‘Fanney Khan,’ starring Rajkummar Rao, Aishwarya Rai bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
PV Sindhu defeats Bingjiao in Super Series Final
Rio Olympic Silver Medalist P.V. Sindhu won the game against World No. 9 He Bingjiao in Dubai Super Series badminton Final on Wednesday while K. Srikanth lost the game against Viktor Axelsen.
P.V. Sindhu showcased great performance against World No. 9 He Bingjiao by 21-11, 16-21, 21-18 in Group A match that was played for 1 hour and four minutes.
On the other hand, World No. 4 Srikanth lost the game against Viktor Axelsen 21-13, 21-17 in Group B men’s singles match that was played for 38 minutes.
In the next game, PV Sindhu will face off Japan’s Sayaka Sato whereas Srikanth will play against Chinese Taipei’s Chou Tien Chen.
The champion has played against Bingjiao two times in year 2017. PV Sindhu presented great performance in the game by putting the opponent player in discomfited situations.
PV Sindhu scored 10-6 against Chinese player which helped her to take the benefit at the break. Following break, the player sustained to take over the proceedings and clinching 17-8 against Bingjiao.
In the second game, PV Sindhu took 11-7 lead over Bingjiao that helped the player to defeat the opponent player. In the end of game, Sindhu took four match points when Bingjiao abated at the net once more.

Chinese smartphone maker company Huawei is planning to unveil Huawei Enjoy 7S handset in Chinese market on 18th December. The features of handset have been leaked on Chinese website Weibo. The cellphone might involve price tag of 1000 yuan (approx Rs 9,722).
