New Delhi: Speeding DTC bus mowed down on 84-yr-old man
New Delhi: A dreadful incident occurred on Friday in the capital New Delhi when a speeding DTC bus mowed down by an 84-yr-old man close to Karkardooma metro station. Police officials further conveyed that the bus driver flee from the spot.
Police further conveyed that the deceased identified as MP Bhatnagar and at the time of incident he was coming back home at about 10.30am from Karkardooma.
When he arrived close to the Karkardooma metro station he lost control fell down on road when suddenly a speeding DTC bus mowed down on him.
Locals then called and informed the police about the incident and he was taken to Hospital.

Sindhu, Srikanth and Prannoy advances to semis of French Open Super Series
Paris: Rio Olympics silver medalist PV Sindhu reached her maiden women’s singles semi-final on Friday in the 325,000 dollars French Open Super Series and Indian shuttlers Kidambi Srikanth and HS Prannoy also advances to men’s singles semifinals following winning their respective quarter-final games.
In women’s singles, second seeded shuttler Sindhu beat the China’s Chen Yufei by 21-14, 21-14 points to win over, which ended for forty minutes. Sindhu in semifinals will now clash against either Sung Ju Hyun of South Korea or Akane Yamaguchi of Japan at Pierre de Coubertin Stadium of Paris.
In men’s singles, previous week Denmark Open champion Kidambi Srikanth beat Shi Yuqi of China looking his fourth Super Series label.
Following losing first set of match to the Chinese player, Srikanth recovered in the games to win it 8-21, 21-19, 21-9 and advances in semi-finals.

Indian Oil net gains 18.4% to Rs 3,696 crore for September
New Delhi: Indian state owned oil and gas company Indian Oil Corp. Ltd on Friday posted a 18.4% increase in net profit to Rs3,696.29 crore for September quarter from a year before on raised volumes regardless of augmented costs.
Corporation informed stock exchanges that net profit gained 10% to Rs1.1 trillion in September quarter from a year before as the corporation grew sale of refinery products in the Indian and export markets. Indian Oil Chairman Sanjiv Kumar further stated that the changes in net profit in second quarter on account of stock increased.
The gross refinery edge for the second quarter was $7.98 a cask contrast to $4.32 a cask a year before. But in first six months of the present financial September, Indian Oil posted reduced net profit of Rs 8,245 crore next to Rs 11,391 crore a year before, mostly due to inventory losses.
Market sales in the September quarter grew to 19 million tonnes (mt) from 18.5 (mt) a year before, whereas exports augmented to 1.9 mt from 1.2 mt earlier year.
The corporation further stated that the Odisha administration offers an interest-free loan of Rs700 crore a year for 15 years in quarterly installments of Rs175 crore from April 2016 repayable following 15 years.
