Rape case: Accused JNU student Anmol Ratan to be produce in front of Court


On Thursday PhD student Anmol Ratan, who has been indicted of raping an associate scholar at the Jawaharlal Nehru University, will be bent previous to a Patiala House court, hours following surrendering prior to the Delhi Police.

 Since Sunday ratan had been missing when the grievance was registered next to him. An FIR under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections covering rape and criminal intimidation has been filed against Ratan. He has been disqualified from the All India Students’ Association (AISA).

The AISA had released a report previous declaring their decision to expel Ratan from the party and that they will reflect on and deal with it with the firmness it deserves. The statement have also further conveyed that, AISA takes grave note of the fact that Anmol Ratan, a foremost activist of AISA, is facing a criminal complaint of sexual assault.

He is hence forth debarred from the primary membership of AISA. The fact that a most important activist of ours is accused of sexual violence, calls for serious introspection and re-invigorating the process of sensitisation next to sexual aggression within and outside the organisation.
