‘Queen of Bollywood’ Rani Mukerji’s producer and screenwriter father Ram Mukherjee died at the age of 84 years old at 5 am today. He died after his blood pressure level gets reduced.
Krishna Mukherjee wrote on social media, “His blood pressure dropped suddenly and he was admitted to Breach Candy hospital where doctors declared him dead at 5 am. He was doing fine earlier and this was sudden.”
Ram Mukherjee has made popular films in Bengali and Hindi industry including Raktanadir Dhara, Tomar Rakte Amar Sohag, Raktalekha, Ek Bar Mooskura Do.
He used to live along with wife Krishna Mukherjee, daughter Rani and son Raja.
Ram Mukherjee is one of the originators of Filmalaya Studios situated in Mumbai. He is recognized for his extraordinary work in movie Hum Hindustani and Leader. Ram had introduced Rani Mukherjee in the Bengali movie Biyer Phool (1996).
