He exposed his butt for an emotional sequence in Shahid, the National Award-winning 2013 film, in which he essayed the part of late lawyer and human rights activist Shahid Azmi. Now Rajkummar Rao is going to push the envelope further. One of a leading news paper has detailed that the performing artist has bared it all in Omerta, by director Hansal Mehta, based on Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheik, a British terrorist of Pakistani origin who is infamous for his part in the 2002 kidnapping and murder of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl.
“It’s a necessary sequence including frontal nudity where Rajkummar’s character is shown having sex with a whore a day prior to he leaves for a terrorist mission. It took the makers a month to find a performer who would agree to be a part of said sequence before finally canning it in Delhi a year ago,” a source informed.
Rajkummar is known to get under the skin of the characters he plays on screen. For Omerta, he stayed in London for some time to get the hang of Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheik’s lifestyle. “I like to push my limits and as a performing artist if I am convinced about a scene, I can do it. The butt scene in Shahid was a part of an emotional sequence. However, this one is more wild. I had talked about it with Hansal sir before we shot for it,” Rajkummar said.
