Jodhpur: The Uri attack has changed the entire security scenario in western Rajasthan as firing as well as movement of troops has increased on the other side of the international border. All DIGs, commandants and officers of BSF Rajasthan frontier held a high level meeting that was chaired by IG B R Meghwal in Jaisalmer on Tuesday.
The meeting will be continued on Wednesday too. Police personnel have also been trained in handling all types of weapons and firings. They are deployed in civil dress and stress is being given on intelligence gathering. Air Force, BSF and police are sharing information with each other.
According to senior official sources in BSF, a high level meeting was held on Tuesday in Jaisalmer in which IG B.R.Meghwal, DIG Ravi Gandhi, DIG (north) Amit Lodha, DIG (south) Naresh Kumar, Bikaner DIG Yashwant Singh, Ganganagar DIG B S Bajwa, DIG Sumer Singh, DIG Suresh Chandra Yadav, DIG Mahesh Sharma, DIG Dr. Jayant Kumar and ll commandants of Rajasthan Frontier and officials took part.
IG Meghwal has asked the officials to keep vigil and directed to deal with all untoward incidents. Along with keeping close watch on activities across the border, officials have been asked to inform headquarters from time to time.
