Heavy rain and flood situation arise in Mumbai on Sunday morning that led to disruption of mobile services. The rain lashed several railway stations including Thane station and many others.
Several train services got late and more than 40 other trains were cancelled.
On Sunday, Mumbaikars faced heavy rainfall that led to the beginning of monsoon.
As per India Meteorological Department (IMD), the concentration of the rains is likely to get raise in the next 24 hours.
An IMD official stated, “In the next 24 hours the city is likely to receive heavy rainfall at a few places and intermittent rain or thundershowers are likely to occur in the city and suburbs.”
Several areas in the region faced waterlogging situation because of heavy rainfall. Sion, Kurla, Dadar and Andheri’s traffic remain affected.
Trains were additionally answered to be running late on the Central Line, particularly to and from Thane, where the railroad tracks were secured with water.
The water level in the seven lakes which supply water to Mumbai likewise demonstrated an expansion.
