‘Raaz Reboot’ music is tribute to old horror films says Vikram Bhatt

Mumbai: Director Vikram Bhatt says the music of his forthcoming film Raaz Reboot, the fourth part in the Raaz franchise, is a tribute to old horror films. The producers of the film have now released the theme music of the film, instead of the usual industry teaser trailer.

Bhatt told trade media in Mumbai that this is an innovative way to promot the film. The trailer is called ‘Sound of Raaz’ and the film itself is the fourt in the mega-hit ‘Raaz’ franchise.

Haunting and blood-curdling music from old Bollywood horror classics is the inspiration, said Bhatt. “It (music) is a tribute to the older Hindi films like ‘Gumnam’, ‘Mahal’, ‘Wo Kaun Thi’, in the horror genre where there was a signature tune which used to be beautiful and yet so scary and highlighted the horror elements.”

The movie is Directed by Bhatt, Raaz Reboot stars Emraan Hashmi, Gaurav Arora and debutant Kriti Kharbanda in the lead. It is slated to release on September 16 in India.
