Pune: 29-yr-old wife killed for ‘not serving lunch properly’


Pune: In Manjari, the strangled autorickshaw driver kills wife on Friday for not “serving lunch properly”. Regret driver later surrendered to the police. 30-yr-old Rohit Rasge, held and has been booked under section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code. At around 4.30pm in Manjari the occurrence took place. Their 2-yr-old son sent to his maternal grandparents’ home.

On Saturday police produce him in front of court. Hadapsar police inspector Anjum Bagwan has conveyed that, we are inquiring him to ascertain if there was other reason of murder. Six years ago, Rasge married 29-yr-old Sheetal.

He drove an autorickshaw for living, whereas his wife Sheetal stayed at home. Moreover Rasge earlier also has been booked for domestic violence. Previous year in July, Sheetal filed a non cognisable offence next to Rasge for domestic abuse at Manjari police station.

Rasge arrived at his mother at Mundhwa on Thursday afternoon prior to going home. He then asked wife to serve lunch. But he found fault with her of not serving him properly. Police conveyed that as the quarrel between the duo became heated, Rasge in anger choked her to death.

When he realize Sheetal wasn’t responding, he immediately called an ambulance and rushed to a private hospital where she was affirmed bought dead. The occurrence came to light when Sassoon contacted Hadapsar police. In between Rasge had gone to the Bundgarden police station and surrender himself.
