Trump in the driver’s seat of a big rig? Yes, it happened – at the White House.
US President Donald Trump was rallying votes in favor of his health care reform bill Thursday however made a pit stop in the afternoon to meet with truck drivers and trucking executives.
Amid that meeting, he spent a couple of minutes happily exploring the cab of a tractor-trailer parked outside the White House.
The 70-year-old Republican, wearing a suit, excitedly sounded the horn before pretending to drive the vehicle and making some funny faces – and the web saw, with #TrumpTruck getting some traction on Twitter.
“Nobody knows America like truckers know America. You see it every day. You see every hill, and you see each valley and you see each pothole in our streets that have to be rebuilt,”he told his guests amid their meeting in the Cabinet Room.

While Twitter got busy with giggles, the legislation wasn’t far from Trump’s mind. He said that a vote on the measure to repeal and replace predecessor Barack Obama’s health care law would be “very close.”
“By the way, it’s close not because Obamacare’s good – it’s close for politics. They know it’s no good. Everyone knows it’s no good,” he said.
He joked that he couldn’t spent too much time with the truckers.
“I’m not going to make it too long, because i need to get votes,” he said to laughter. “I would prefer not to spend too much time with you. I’m going to lose by one vote and afterward I’m going to blame the truckers.”
