Police Constable shot dead by miscreants in Delhi


NEW DELHI: On Friday night near Shahbad Dairy in outer Delhi a Police constable was shot though he was trying to save a couple from being mugged by a group of criminals. The occurrence took place around 10pm when constable Anand was on patrol duty near the Bawana Industrial Area. He saw a group of men on a motorbike having a brawl with the couple and tried to arbitrate.

Seeing the policeman, the scoundrel were about to escape but he managed to catch two of them. One of the miscreants then pulled out a country-made pistol and fired numerous times at the constable. Police officers have also further conveyed that, Anand was shot at a close assortment. Despite his injuries, he held on to the criminals.

They pulled out their helmets and beat the policeman until he collapsed. The scoundrel fled the spot as the constable lay with of blood. In the meantime, locals had knowledgeable the police control room and Anand was hurried to a hospital where he was affirmed dead on arrival.

Officers have also further conveyed that, bullets had pierced his abdomen, damaging his vital organs. The body has been sent to Mahabir Hospital for an autopsy.
