PM Narendra Modi’s policies have set fire to Kashmir, says Rahul Gandhi

Rahul Gandhi blamed the NDA government of mistreating the Kashmir matter and stated that there is no requirement of indulging a third party in conversation over controversial matter.

“India is Kashmir and Kashmir is India. This is our internal matter and we don’t need any third party’s involvement in it,” Rahul Gandhi stated.

“Main kaafi samay se keh raha hoon ki Narendra Modi ji aur NDA ki policies ne Jammu Kashmir ko jala diya hai (I have been saying this for a long time that Narendra Modi and NDA’s policies have set fire to Kashmir),” he added.

Following July 10 terror attack on Amarnath pilgrims in Anantnag, Rahul Gandhi had condemned PM Modi’s Modi’s policies and the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) association with Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti’s People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the rise in militant attacks in Kashmir.

In a series of tweets, the Gandhi scion said Modi’s policies have created space for terrorists in Kashmir which is a “grave strategic blow” to India.

In June, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh implicit towards discussions over Kashmir matter stating that the government was prepared to converse to anybody who desires to start talks.

“The situation in Kashmir has seen a lot of improvement and we can assure that the government will get the situation under control. Despite having a large Muslim population, ISIS has been unable to establish a hold in India,” Rajnath Singh stated.

He even added that under the Modi government, the condition in Jammu and Kashmir has enhanced severely as 368 militants  have been counteracted since 2014.
