PM Narendra Modi to visit Varanasi today


PM Narendra Modi is likely to visit his Lok Sabha constituency Varanasi today. The preparations for his welcome started two days back.

As per the state information department, Modi is slated to launch several infrastructure projects and conduct meetings with state government officials and BJP workers.

The authorities of Varanasi district affirmed that Narendra Modi will start his visit on Friday by launching a trade facilitation centre Deendayal Hastkala Sankul for weavers in Bada-Lalpur.

Apart from it, Narendra Modi will initiate various infrastructure projects involving the Ramnagar-Samne Ghat bridge as well as the Balua Ghat bridge. He will also launch a sewage treatment plant at Ramana.

A government official affirmed, “The sewage treatment plant at Ramana in Varanasi will be the first plant in the sewage sector for which the Hybrid Annuity-PPP model has been adopted. It is a major step forward in realising the dream of Nirmal Ganga under the Namami Gange programme.”

PM Narendra Modi will inaugrate the  Mahamana Express amid Varanasi and Vadodara ahead of going towards the Diesel Locomotive Works guesthouse. As per the reports, PM Modi will meet BJP workers in Varanasi.

On the outskirts of Varanasi, PM Narendra Modi is slated to launch an event on cattle health ‘Pashudhan Arogya Mela’ in Shahanshahpur. At the conclusion of his visit, PM Modi will direct several farmers and hand out certificates to them under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
