PM Narendra Modi is likely to address two election campaign rallies in Tripura on Thursday close to the border areas before Tripura Assembly elections starting on February 18. The information has been given by programme manager and Deputy Speaker of Assam Assembly Biswarup Bhattacharya.
For the safety of PM Modi, Tripura adjacent Sipahijala and Unakoti districts have been seized, cops stated.
Providing information of PM Modi’s journey, Bhattacharya affirmed Narendra Modi is slated go at Agartala airport in a chartered plane and then he would take a wing to Sonamura of Sipahijala district in IAF jet.
He added that a civic rally has been planned at Rangamati Madrassa school ground on Thursday in Sipahijala.
As per Sipahijala SP Sudipta Das, the BSF has been directed to close the border as the area is not very distant from the global border.
The reports revealed that Modi would leave for Kailashahar in Unakoti district after the rally at Siphijala. Also, he would give a speech at Ramkrishna Mahavidyalaya stadium on Thursday.
The security guards have been directed to deepen patrolling in Tripura and sufficient actions have been taken to foil troublesome occurrences, Unakoti SP Ajit Pratap Singh added.
The polling in Tripura district is going to get start from February 18 and the results will be declared on March 3.
