In front of the fourteenth India-ASEAN and eleventh East Asia Summit in Vientiane, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today met his Laos partner Thongloun Sisoulith.
“Taking forward an esteemed p’ship. Day 2 in Vientiane starts w/meeting the host, PM of Lao PDR HE Thongloun Sisoulith,” External Affairs Ministry representative Vikas Swarup tweeted.
PM Modi is additionally booked to have gatherings with Nobel laureate Aung San Suu Kyi, who is the State Counselor and Foreign Minister of Myanmar, and US President Barack Obama later in the day.
On Wednesday, he met Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe not long after his entry here.
The India-ASEAN Summit today will be gone to by pioneers of 10 southeast Asian countries – Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam and Thailand.
The East Asia Summit later in the day will be gone to by pioneers of the 10 ASEAN countries and those of India, China, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, the US and Russia.
