We played for 15 years, Kumble didn’t fight with anyone, says Harbhajan Singh

LONDON: Indian Bowler Harbhajan Singh has emerged out in support of his coach Anil Kumble following reports of clashes between him and Captain Virat Kohli.

“Only current players will be able to inform what his relations with Anil bhai are,” Harbhajan stated.

“In my 15 years of cricket journey with him, there has been no occurrence of any clashes with him and he’s the perfect bowling coach in cricket, he’s always there to instruct players.

“He’s been extraordinary and he has showcased a key role in making me what I am right now and I would like to express gratitude to him for that,” said Harbhajan further.

The inspiring presentation of the Indian cricket team under Kumble’s leadership in the past one year speaks for itself, said Harbhajan.

“Anil Kumble is firm; you can always converse to him about cricket. He’s very meticulous and hopes that one shouldn’t leave the match till the last ball.

“He’s stern but he reacts to hard work more than just flair. Kumble as a coach, I am confident he’s going to get a lot of high-quality things to Indian cricket. One can also notice his consequences of 2016.”

Talking out of his own knowledge, the off-spinner stated Kumble is not that kind of a person who will have problem with the players.

“I am not included in Indian team so I don’t have knowledge regarding how Anil Bhai is managing the team and I don’t converse to players about what is going on and all.”

“If anybody has problem with Kumble, he should go and speak to him because he’s a person of admiration and as per my professionalism, he can’t have problems with anyone.”

“Dialogue is the key to sort out the matter. He’s someone who’s at the top and there’s no one who can fill his shoes easily,” Harbhajan added.
