Sandalwood popularly known as ‘chandan’ contains lot of skin benefits. It is the form of powder that works well on skin.  It helps the skin to get rid of pimples, blemishes and dark spots. It involves anti-tanning and anti-ageing properties. Check out other benefits of sandalwood here :

Reduce blemishes and acne

Make a paste by adding 1 tablespoon of sandalwood powder, half tsp of turmeric powder and 1 tbsp of lemon juice. later, apply it on your face for about 30 minutes. Wash it off with lukewarm water.

Removes dark circles

Sandalwood is very beneficial in treating puffy eyes and removing dark circles. All you need to do, make a paste by adding 1 tbsp of rose water along with 2 tsp of sandalwood powder. Mix it well and use it on your skin to get good results. paste.

Get rid of wrinkles and fine lines

Form a face pack by adding 1 egg yolk, 1 tsp of yoghurt and 3-4 tbsp sandalwood powder. Mix it properly. Apply this face pack on your skin for about 15 minutes. Wash it off with warm water.

Removes excess oil

Sandalwood is very helpful in getting rid of extra sebum from skin. Make a face pack by adding 1 tbsp of orange juice and 2 tbsp of sandalwood paste. Use it on your face and after few minutes wash it off with lukewarm water.

Lessens sun tanning

Sandalwood act as efficient component in reducing sun tanning. All you need to do, Take a bowl and 1 tbsp of cucumber juice, 1 tbsp of lemon juice, half a tsp of honey, 1 tbsp of tomato juice, 3 tbsp of sandalwood powder to it. Mix it properly and apply for about 25 minutes on your face. Wash it off with lukewarm water.
