New Delhi. Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan says that when he goes abroad and the people calls India the land of rapes, he feels very ashamed.
Amitabh in his new film 'Pink' has played a lawyer. He said that the Indians should work together so that the country could be the first world nation.
Bachchan said at a press conference of the film, “When you go abroad and people say, ‘You are from India, which is the land of rapes’ , It feels quite embarrassing. I want to get away from the situation. I don’t the time when people call us a Third World country or a developing country.” He further added, " We all should work to make India a first world country, a developed country. He further continued that “the country's every part must be safe for women.”
Amitabh said, "Mumbai is safer than Delhi or the opposite, we should not say that. We are a country and in every part of the country women must be secure. If there is a event in Delhi the whole country feels bad and gets worried about the situation. The case is of the whole country or universal. The producer of film 'Pink ' is Sujit Sarkar, while the film is directed by Aniruddha Roy Choudhary. Taapsee Pannu,Kirti Kulhri, Angad Bedi, Piyush Mishra has also acted in the film.
In a key scene of the film Amitabh asks taapsee’s character a question whether she is a virgin or not? Amitabh feels that an important topic has been raised in the film, and is the subject of discussion from many years.
