PCC Chief Amarinder Singh rejects AAP charges of Golden Temple pic on posters

PCC Captain Amarinder Singh rejected the charges that was put on Aam Aadmi Party leader Sukhpal Khaira’s on Sunday.

On Saturday, the posters was released by Mr. Khaira in which it was showcased that it the PPCC chief posing with Darbar Sahib and Congress party symbol along with photos of Manmohan Singh, Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi on the top of it.

“Whole of Punjab and the Punjabi community world over knows my commitment and the credentials too well to be questioned by someone like Khaira,” he said.

“Khaira was trying to be more loyal than the king without realising that the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, whom he was trying to please, will just use and throw him like a paper napkin,” Singh said.

Amrinder Singh alleged that Mr. Kejriwal knows the tactics of “using and throwing away” people from his party  like he did with Anna Hazare, Prashant Bhushan, Yogendra Yadav, and “many others”.

The issue came into notice when Mr. Khaira on Saturday said that the SAD and the Congress allegedly used photo of Golden Temple with party symbols on their posters.

“It is not just anti-incumbency against the Akalis, it is a deep-rooted aversion and hostility borne out of abuse of power by them during all these years,” Amarinder Singh said.

“There was no difference of opinion or communication gap between him and the party’s chief spokesman and senior leader Sunil Jakhar”, Capt. Singh said.

“I am completely with him on the issue of SYL,” he said.

“I had downloaded the poster from the official Facebook page of Captain Amarinder Singh dated April 22, 2014, and I still have snapshots of the Facebook post. If Amarinder claims the photographs are photoshopped then why doesn’t he lodge an FIR against me?” Mr. Khaira asked in a statement.

Moreover, Mr Khaira summons Capt Singh to prove the posters released by him were fake.
