Patanjali to foray into dairy sector, says Ramdev


Yoga master Ramdev today said Patanjali will soon raid into dairy business, including that the part will cross the Rs 5 lakh crore mark by 2022. "Patanjali is set to enter the dairy business and in this monetary year, generation will begin in three dairy plants – one each in Maharashtra, Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh," Ramdev said while tending to a two-day national workshop at National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal (NDRI).

The subject of the course was 'Indian Dairy and Food Sector: Way Forward to Meet Future Challenges'. Talking on the event, Ramdev gave the message of "Swadeshi" and applauded Amul brand in the dairy part, a NDRI discharge said. He said at present, the dairy business is pegged at Rs 3 lakh crore, which will be more than Rs 5 lakh crore by 2022.

 He applauded the endeavors of NDRI in sparing and enhancing the indigenous milk creatures and offered to work with the foundation. Later, he went to NDRI offices furthermore saw the show of milk defilement location units created at the organization.

 A K Srivastava, Director, NDRI, highlighted the establishment's accomplishments in the territory of milk creation and also preparing. Srivastava additionally clarified the part of NDRI in cloning, which will help in the increase of predominant germplasm. He said animals division assumes a critical part in country job and nourishing security.
