Pakistani fast bowler Mohammad Amir is unlikely to play in the ODI series against Sri Lanka due to a hamstring injury.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) affirmed in a statement that Amir got injured in his right leg during the 17th over on the first day of the test match. However, on the second day he bowled only three overs and then later went out of the field.
PCB affirmed that MRI scans have shown that Amir’s right foot has faced a injury and it can take two to three weeks for him to recover. So now he will not be able to become a part of the team in the upcoming ODI series.
In January 2016, a 25-year-old Amir had made a comeback in international cricket after a ban of five years. Since then, he has taken 30 wickets in 21 ODIs.
