Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus introduced the new OnePlus 5 Soft Gold variant smartphone in India on Monday. Particularly, the corporation has launched the Soft Gold color version with 6GB RAM and 64GB built-in storage space configuration and will be accessible for purchase through Amazon India and corporation’s own website starting from August 9. The smartphone priced at Rs. 32,999.
Commenting on the launch, Vikas Agarwal, General Manager at OnePlus India also conveyed that as manufacturer of the smartphone, it gives us immense joy to launch the newest OnePlus 5 with even more refined and elegant Soft Gold finish this festival season. Talking about the features, the smartphone has 6GB RAM/ 64GB storage space and will be accessible in Slate Gray and Soft Gold colours.
The corporation declared that the 8GB RAM/128GB storage space version of OnePlus 5 will be made accessible in Slate Gray colour Rs. 37,999. Now the 6GB RAM/ 64GB storage space version has two color options – Slate Gray and Soft Gold, whereas the 8GB RAM/ 128GB storage also has two color options – Midnight Black and Slate Gray.
The corporation further stated that, it takes an average of 180 days to make a coating of soft gold. It begins running premium aluminium alloy through a diamond cutter. The surface is then sandblasted and polished with powerful precision. The smartphone has a 3,300mAh non-removable battery, which is supported by Dash Charging technology.
For connectivity, the OnePlus 5 comprise Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS, Wi-Fi and 4G LTE. OnePlus 5 runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat based OxygenOS 4.5 out-of-the-box and supports dual nano SIM cards. It sports a dual-camera setup at the rear, which is a combination of a 16-megapixel sensor and a 20-megapixel one.
The 16-megapixel sensor, which is motorized by Sony IMX398, comes with f/1.7 aperture, and the secondary 20-megapixel, motorized by Sony IMX350, is a telephoto zoom lens reaches with f/2.6 aperture, and better lossless zoom capabilities.
