JAMMU: The vital Jammu-Srinagar national highway that was shut on Friday evening taking after avalanches in Ramban locale, was revived on Saturday after rebuilding of one-way traffic, an authority said.
“Activity will be permitted from Srinagar to Jammu,” the movement office authorities said.
“No vehicle including those having a place with the Army or the paramilitary strengths will be permitted to move the other way.”
“Limitations on development of vehicles have been forced to guarantee smooth entry of one-way movement as there has been narrowing of the interstate at a few places because of avalanches,” the authority included.
The closure of the highway that is a life saver of fundamental supplies to the landlocked valley, has prompted to deficiencies of vegetables, milk, mutton and poultry items here.
