The public sector telecom service provider, ‘BSNL’, said that more than one lakh subscribers of Aircel, a mobile telecom company stuck in the crisis, have registered for them to get connected. Customers have made this registration under the facilitation of mobile number portability.
Chief General Manager of Tamil Nadu Range, R. R. Marshall Antony Leo has said that last month 57,345 customers of Aircel had ported in BSNL. The remaining 1.85 lakh customers have also registered for the port.
He told reporters here that in the last five days, 1.28 lakh subscribers have ported in BSNL whereas 66,886 customers have already ported.
