New Delhi: Insurance controller IRDAI (The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority) on Wednesday said linkage of the novel character number (UID) or Aadhaar with protection arrangements is required and requested that safety net providers follow the statutory standards. “The Authority clears up that, linkage of Aadhaar number to Insurance Policies is obligatory under the Prevention of Money-laundering (Maintenance of Records) Second Amendment Rules, 2017,” IRDAI said.
