Reacting to the ongoing conflict within the ruling SP, Mayawati said that members of the Yadav family have their own set of ambitions as at least a dozen of members of Yadav family are holding key political and government positions. Mayawati further stated”The conflict was very much expected one day,”

Mayawati said that the SP dispensation could not develop the state as per the expectation of the people and was trying to rush through some of the projects before the next assembly elections.

Mayawati said that the whole episode of ongoing tussle between Akhilesh Yadav and his uncle Shivpal may just be a drama to divert people attention from the existing lawlessness and corruption.
